What we check on a viewfinder eyepiece before it goes online – and what we don’t.
Example photo: Leitz 5 cm Aufstecksucher, not your item. Tap or click a dot to see what we check there.
Durchsicht
What we check
- Clarity: no major dirt or clouding
- Optical condition: no major signs of wear, fully functional
- Fit in the accessory shoe: holds securely
What we don’t check
- The accuracy of the image framing compared to the lens
- Compatibility with a specific camera
The image framing of a viewfinder eyepiece corresponds to a specific focal length. This is usually stated on the eyepiece itself and in the product title – check this against your lens before purchasing.
