Information on the disposal of old batteries
The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):
1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can dispose of them at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a battery distributor, we are also obligated to take back used batteries. However, our obligation to take back is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. You can therefore either return used batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the address listed in the imprint.
2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass, more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass, or more than 0.004 percent lead by mass, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located below the wheeled bin symbol – where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

Manual Minolta Lenses on Sony E
MD–NEX connects Minolta MD/MC lenses to Sony E-mount cameras. This allows you to continue using an existing manual Minolta lens on a compatible mirrorless camera. NEX refers to the E-mount camera side; it is not the older Minolta AF/Sony A mount.
Focus and Aperture Must Be Operated Manually
The manufacturer's description specifies manual operation, manual focusing, and manual exposure. To use it, set the operating aperture on the lens designed for this purpose and focus manually. A suitable viewfinder magnifier or the direct sensor image can assist with this method.
Distance and Field of View
K&F describes focusing up to infinity for the appropriate MD–NEX design. The lens retains its original focal length. The resulting crop in the photo also depends on the image format of the camera used. Changing the adapter alone does not turn the lens into a zoom lens.
Choosing the Right Minolta Family
The additional MD coupling compared to MC is a feature of the historical Minolta system. This adapter therefore does not serve as an electronic AF system bridge. A Minolta AF lens requires a different lens mount than the MD/MC mount specified here.
