Battery disposal
Information on the disposal of old batteries
The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):
1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can dispose of them at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a battery distributor, we are also obligated to take back used batteries. However, our obligation to take back is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. You can therefore either return used batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the address listed in the imprint.
2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass, more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass, or more than 0.004 percent lead by mass, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located below the wheeled bin symbol – where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

Description
Minolta Dynax 5 35mm SLR camera, body only, in original packaging (Minolta AF/Sony A)
Condition and limitations
Condition: good used condition.
Slight signs of use, such as scratches or wear on the body, are possible.
Model and requirements
The Minolta Dynax 5 is an SLR camera for 35mm film. The Maxxum 5 model designation stands for the corresponding market version. Its concept combines shooting on film with electronic controls, autofocus, and motorized film transport. This offers a different approach compared to a camera where you manually set every distance and film advance.
The Dynax 5 uses the Minolta A-mount. MD and MC are older manual Minolta mounts; Sony E is also a different system. For later A-mount lenses, full functional compatibility cannot be inferred from the mount name alone. The original manual describes the Minolta AF range available at the time and limits its accessory information to the status prior to June 2001.
All camera functions are powered by two 3-volt CR2 lithium batteries. Shooting is therefore also dependent on power. Anyone who wants to combine film photography with autofocus and flexibly selectable exposure modes will find the appropriate analog operating concept here. This refers to the Dynax 5 or Maxxum 5, not the digital Dynax 5D or a 5xi.
