Information on the disposal of old batteries
The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):
1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can dispose of them at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a battery distributor, we are also obligated to take back used batteries. However, our obligation to take back is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. You can therefore either return used batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the address listed in the imprint.
2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass, more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass, or more than 0.004 percent lead by mass, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located below the wheeled bin symbol – where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

The recording concept
The Nikon D90 is a digital SLR camera. The D90 has a 12.3-megapixel DX sensor and a Nikon F mount. The lens generation and design determine the actually usable metering and focusing functions. For data transfer or image output, Nikon lists USB and HDMI.

P/S/A/M and automatic; NEF RAW and JPEG, Live View, and video recording. If you set the aperture or shutter speed yourself, you can specifically influence the depth of field and motion representation. In automatic programs, the camera takes over a larger part of the exposure selection. RAW and JPEG serve different purposes: a JPEG can be viewed and shared directly, while a RAW file is intended for later processing in suitable software. Keep the original recording format for traceable editing.
Lens and shooting planning
The appropriate lens determines the angle of view, light transmission, and possible minimum focusing distance. The mount must fit the camera; an adapter can affect operation and autofocus. The brand name alone does not guarantee full functionality.
Storage and further processing
Images are recorded on SD or SDHC. Both the card name and capacity must be compatible with the model. For video, the required continuous write speed also counts. Back up the recordings before reformatting; a suitable card reader allows transfer independent of legacy camera software.
Suitable power supply
The intended power source is the Nikon EN-EL3e. For charging, you need a solution that matches the exact battery design. Identical brand names or similar dimensions are not sufficient for identification. For longer shooting sessions, plan the power requirements and storage capacity together.
Optical reflex viewfinder
An optical reflex viewfinder shows you the subject through a mirror and viewfinder optics. The subsequent digital recording is created on the sensor. Therefore, you use the image playback additionally to assess the finished result; viewfinder brightness and stored image brightness are not the same information.
