Battery disposal
Information on the disposal of old batteries
The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):
1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can dispose of them at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a battery distributor, we are also obligated to take back used batteries. However, our obligation to take back is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. You can therefore either return used batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the address listed in the imprint.
2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass, more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass, or more than 0.004 percent lead by mass, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located below the wheeled bin symbol – where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

Condition and Limitations
Condition: good used condition.
The body shows slight age-related signs of wear – for example, fine scratches or dull spots, as is common with regularly used cameras.

Your Own Picture Directly on Film
The Polaroid SX-70 Sonar AutoFocus Land Camera is an analog instant camera. The Sonar autofocus measures the distance using ultrasound. Manual focusing may be required for subjects behind glass.
Focusing and Composition
Foldable SLR camera with Sonar autofocus and manual focus option. Choose your camera position and the distance to the subject before taking the shot. With an instant photo, the photographic material is exposed immediately; the decision on framing and timing therefore has to be made before the final image is produced.
The Right Film System
SX-70 instant film with a battery in the film pack is suitable. SX-70 and 600 differ in their film sensitivity. Therefore, a matching cartridge shape alone does not mean the film is interchangeable. Battery-free i-Type film does not provide this historic camera with power.
Development and Preparation
The film pack suitable for the historic camera provides the camera with power. For each film, please follow the current manufacturer's instructions regarding temperature, development, and handling of the fresh image. The finished instant photo is also the physical result of your shot; a digital image file is only created by an additional scan.
