When you take a photo, a special film is exposed and transported through the camera. It develops itself – within a few minutes you hold the finished photo in your hand.

Polaroid has the larger image format with the soft retro look. Instax by Fujifilm is smaller, more modern, and cheaper in ongoing use. The two systems are not compatible.
